Katy Perry big winner in the 38th People's Choice Award

Katy Perry was the runaway winner in the just concluded 38th People's Choice Award.

Though the 'Teenage Dream' singer backed out for an appearance in the award's night, she won in five categories including Favorite Female Artist, Song of the Year, Favorite Music Video, Tour Headliner and Best TV Guest Star for 'How I Met Your Mother.

It was a very good start for Perry even she is now dealing with her divorce with Bristish comedian Russell Brand.

Following Perry with the most awards taken home was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 with four awards.

Major awards were also given to Emma Stone and Johnny Depp for the Favorite Comedic Movie Actress and Actor. Lea Michele of Glee and Neil Patrick Harris were the Favorite Comedic TV Actress and Actor.

Big winners in the music categories were Demi Lovato for Favorite Pop Artist, Taylor Swift for Favorite Country Artist and Lady Gaga for Favorite Album of the Year.
